191 GEORAZČLENJEVANJE METAPODATKOVNEGA OPISA KULTURNE DEDIŠČINE Geoparsing the Cultural Heritage Metadata Vlasta Vodeb Oddano: 3. 9. 2012 – Sprejeto: 24. 9. 2012 1.01 Izvirni znanstveni članek 1.01 Original Scientific Article UDK: 001.103.2:719(497.4) Izvleček Georazčlenjevanje (angl. »geoparsing«) je metoda za samodejno določanje prostorskih koordinat na osnovi prostega teksta in je uporabna tudi za metapodatkovne opise nepremične, premične in žive kulturne dediščine, posebej kadar prostorske koordinate niso bile zajete že ob vnosu metapodatkov v dokumentacijski sistem. Članek obravnava uporabnost in učinkovitost georazčlenjevalnikov, s poudarkom na e-storitvi Europeana Geoparser. Predstavljena je analiza prostorske natančnosti uporabe Europeana Geoparser na slovenskih enotah kulturne dediščine. Članek se zaključi z oceno uporabnosti metode za samodejno določanje prostorskih koordinat kulturni dediščini. Ključne besede: georazčlenjevanje, kulturna dediščina, Europeana, imenik zemljepisnih imen Abstract Geoparsing is a method for automatic extraction of geographic coordinates on the basis of unstructured text and content. The method is also usable for metadata of immovable, movable and intangible cultural heritage especially when geographic coordinates were not part of metadata description in documentation system. In this paper the usability and efficiency of online geoparsing services are presented, with the emphasis on e-service Europeana Geoparser. The analysis of spatial accuracy of the Europeana Geoparser is presented with the analysis of the Slovenian cultural heritage objects. At the end an evaluation of usability of the method for automated extraction of geographic coordinates for cultural heritage is given and debated.
