LJUBLJANSKA MESTNA KNJIŽNICA, ŽUPAN I V AN HRIBAR IN MESTNI ARHIVAR A N T ON AŠKERC Helena Seražin, Trzin UDK 027.5(497.4Lj.)(091) Povzetek Članek poskuša osvetliti vlogo Antona Aškerca in Ivana Hribarja pri ustanovitvi ljubljanske mestne knjižnice, spomniti na prvi poskus ustanovitve slovenske narodne knjižnice, pojasniti nesporazum glede daru Slovanske knjižnice ljubljan- ski univerzi, pri katerem gre v bistvu le za izpolnitev Hribarjevega volila iz leta 1910, vsebuje pa tudi prepisa dveh še neobjavljenih Aškerčevih poročil o mestni knjižnici. UDC 027.5(497.4Lj.)(091) Summary The article tries to illustrate the roles of Anton Aškerc and Ivan Hribar in the foundation of Ljubljana city library, to recall the first attempt at the foundation of the Slovenian national library, to clarify the misunderstanding regarding the gift of the Slavic Library to the Ljubljana University which was actually the realization of the will of Hribar from 1910, and includes the transcripts of two unpublished reports of Aškerc on the city library.
