AMERIŠKE UNIVERZITETNE KNJIŽNICE SE PREDSTAVIJO Križarjenje p o i n f o r m a c i j s k ih virih n a I n t e r n e tu Zdenka Verlič, Knjižnica OŠ Ketteja in Murna, Ljubljana UDK 027.7(73):681.306 Povzetek Ameriške univerzitetne in visokošolske knjižnice se predstavljajo na Internetu z domačimi stranmi, ki bi lahko bile za vzor našim. Uporabnikom je tako marsikdaj prihranjena pot do knjižnice, saj lahko gradivo naročijo kar s pomočjo priloženega obrazca, do katerega pridejo s preprostim pritiskom na gumb. Knjižnice jih lahko tekoče obveščajo o vseh novostih in spremembah, s povezavami pa "kažejo" na druge pomembne vire. Na ta način knjižnice izkoriščajo sebi v prid orodje, ki ga uporablja vedno več ljudi tudi pri nas. Tehnološki razvoj spreminja tudi vlogo knjižničarjev; le-ti postajajo zbiralci kvalitetnih informacij in usmerjevalci uporab- nikov po sicer neurejenem Internetu. Their users are often spared going to the library because they can order materials with the help of the attached form reachable simply by pressing a button. Libraries can inform them fluently about novelties and changes and use the links to direct them to other important sources. In this way libraries take advantage of a tool, used by more and more people in our country as well. Technological development changes the role of librarians; they are becoming collectors of high quality information and guides for their users along othervvise unarranged Internet.
