The answer to the first question can be found through the lens of values and official documents based on these values. The general guidelines for working with students with special needs can help us answer the second question. Research on teacher competencies that influence students' achievement can help us answer the third question. These competencies can be classified into three groups: competencies related to subject knowledge, competencies related to teaching and competencies related to relationships between teacher and students"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Prispevek se nanaša na tri osnovna vprašanja, s katerimi se sooča učitelj, ki v glasbeni šoli poučuje učenca s posebnimi potrebami (UPP): zakaj naj bi se učenci s posebnimi potrebami vključili v glasbeno šolo, kako naj učitelj pristopi k učencem s posebnimi potrebami in kakšne naj bodo kompetence učitelja za delo z UPP. Odgovor na prvo vprašanje daje pogled skozi prizmo vrednot in dokumentov, ki temeljijo na teh vrednotah. Na drugo vprašanje pomagajo odgovoriti splošna načela o ravnanju z UPP, ki govorijo o \"normalizaciji\", stališčih do UPP, ugotavljanju težav UPP in poučevanju. Odgovor na zadnje vprašanje o kompetencah za delo z UPP v glasbeni šoli pa dajo raziskave, ki govorijo o vplivu kompetenc učitelja na učne dosežke učencev.
