During research, validation and verification of the model were performed. The key variables of the model were identified, i.e. diversified farms, deletion from the register and transitions. When the value of the set of key parameters changed, several simulation runs were performed and various development scenarios were considered. The simulation results confirm that with the aid of the system dynamics model the effects of key variables on the process of transition of agricultural holdings to tourist farms can be estimated. By means of the model, the importance of the role of subsidies and promotion was identified. The impact of the occurrence of coronavirus disease covid-19 on the response of the entire system of agricultural production, which has a significant influence on the transition process of agricultural holdings, was determinedV doktorski disertaciji je bila izvedena analiza pomembnosti diverzifikacije nekmetijskih dejavnosti na kmetijah v Sloveniji – dinamike prehodov potencialnih kmetijskih gospodarstev v turistične kmetije, in sicer s pomočjo razvitega matematičnega simulacijskega modela. Izvedeni sta bili validacija in verifikacija modela. Opredeljene so bile ključne spremenljivke modela, tj. diverzificirane kmetije, izbris iz registra in prehodi. Ob spremembi vrednosti nabora ključnih parametrov je bilo izvedenih več simulacijskih tekov in obravnavanih več različnih scenarijev razvoja. Rezultati simulacije potrjujejo, da lahko s pomočjo modela sistemske dinamike ocenimo vplive ključnih spremenljivk na proces prehoda kmetijskih gospodarstev v turistične kmetije. Z modelom je bila ugotovljena pomembnost vloge subvencij in promocije.
