From these two perspectives, I compare the status of ethnic minorities from the former federal country with the status of those in Cuba and in the UK. Of particular importance are the proper media definition of these minorities and the attitude of the state, which will have the last word in the solution of their statusOsrednja tema te raziskave je analiza situacije manjšin iz bivše Jugoslavije z vidika problematike medijske definicije in politike Republike Slovenije (RS). Položaj etničnih manjšin iz nekdanje skupne države sem primerjala s položajem manjšin na Kubi in v Veliki Britaniji, in sicer iz perspektive medijev in države.
