However, ecological regions are not bound by state borders. Therefore we have examined the possibilities of use of forest reproductive material (FRM) from neighbouring countries in Slovenia. Maps of climatic variables such as temperature and rainfall were produced and analyzed. Additionally, analyses of bedrock, soil units and acquired data on provenance regions were made. The result is a list of potentially suitable provenance regions from which use of FRM is possible in case of limited supplies of FRM of local Slovenian origin"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Drevesa so v splošnem najbolje prilagojena na ekološke razmere področja, v katerem so se razvila. Ker ekološke regije niso omejene z državnimi mejami, smo preučili možnosti uporabe gozdnega reprodukcijskega materiala (GRM) iz sosednjih držav v Sloveniji.
