In particular, the medical consequences of use and the biochemical properties of the active ingredient desomorphine are discussed. For a better understanding of the topic, the first part of the article describes the case of a Ukrainian krokodil user who ended up in Slovenia due to the war in Ukraine. In the main part, the chemical composition, synthesis, pharmacology, and toxicology of the drug are described, as well as the signs and symptoms of abuse, diagnosis, and treatment.
