The adequate capacities of the remaining units that were just as important for the favorable close of the intervention were provided by numerous units of Civil Protection, the Slovenian army, and other services and volunteers. Findings show that Slovenia’s forces are well prepared for forest fires on a usual scale, but its air forces are not sufficient for large wildfires. The possible improvements can be indicated above all in: (1) investment into a fleet of smaller purpose-made single-engine aircrafts for extinguishing wildfires; (2) optimization and additional equipping in the field of the medium size fire-fighting vehicles for forest fires (GVGP – 2 and GCGP -1); (3) purchase of a smaller number of cistern truck trailers for water transport with fire-fighter and army car cisterns; (4) purchase or subsidizing of tractor cistern trailers or other tractor attachments; and (5) ensuring a larger number of contractors with forestry and agricultural mechanization"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Slovenija ima bogato gasilsko tradicijo, ki se kaže tudi v zavidljivem številu gasilcev in gasilskih vozil, ki jih je poveljstvo intervencije požara na Krasu lahko tudi učinkovito mobiliziralo. Zadovoljive zmogljivosti drugih enot, ki so bile prav tako pomembne za ugoden zaključek intervencije, so zagotavljale tudi številne enote Civilne zaščite, Slovenske vojske in drugih služb ter prostovoljcev. Ugotovljeno je bilo, da je Slovenija zelo dobro pripravljena na gozdne požare običajnega obsega, medtem ko je na požare večjega dobro pripravljena s kopenskimi silami, slabše pa z zračnimi.
