This time cannot be calculated - it can only be measured. Companies in Slovenia would like to reduce the flow time of operations (and thus reduce the flow time of orders) to improve their competitiveness in domestic and world markets. This paper presents the difference between one-dimensional, two dimwnsional, and main simple and weighted flow time of operation. Special attention has been paid to the measurement of the flow time of operation, and the construction of a corresponding flow-time diagram. The flow time of operation is not a constant value (it changes with time) and therefore this paper presents a procedure for operation flow-time control based on Deming's circle of continious improvements. Presented are the results of the operation flow-time measurements and control in a company that produces machines for the chemical industry"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Pretočni čas operacije, ki je najkrajša enota pretočnega časa naročila, pomeni izhodišćni podatek za dejansko načrtovanje in krmiljenje proizvodnje. Tega časa ni mogoče izračunati, ampak ga je mogoče le meriti. Slovenska podjetja vidijo v skrajšanju pretočnega časa operacij in s tem tudi naročil veliko priložnost za dosego čim večje konkurenčnosti na domačem in tujem trgu. V prispevku je prikazana razlika med enodimenzijskim, dvodimenzijskim ter srednjim preprostim in tehtanim pretočnim časom operacije. Posebna pozornost je dana izbiri načina izvedbe meritev pretoćnega časa operacije in konstruiranju izvedenim meritvam prpadajočega diagrama pretoka. Ker pretočni čas operacije ni vedno enak, temveč se s časom spreminja, je v prispevku prikazan postopek izvedbe nadzora pretočnega časa operacije, ki sloni na Demingovem krogu stalnih izboljšav.
