The article describs the historical development of these dances until Posch's time, defining the formal characteristics, showing their ambiguous modal or harmonical structure, suggesting possible instrumentation and performance solutions, including an attempt at the recontruction of the dances' choreographic function. It further gives a comparison of Posch's suite-like formations with the similarly structured suites contained in the collections of Johannes Thesselius (1609), Paul Peuerl (1611) and Johann Hermann Schein(1617)Poscheva zbirka Musicalische Ehrenfreudt (1618) vsebuje 49 štiriglasnih inštrumentalnih plesov. V članku je prikazan zgodovinski razvoj tovrstnih plesov do Poschevega časa. Skladbe so analizirane oblikovno, nakazana je njihova nekoliko nejasna harmonsko-modalna struktura, sledi nekaj predlogov za možno inštrumentacijo pri izvajanju, dodan je tudi poizkus koreografske rekonstrukcije izbranih plesov.
