The components enabling the vacuum-sealed transfer of electrical leads are called electrical feedthroughs. They are always made of a high-quality electrical insulator and a conducting wire. One of the best possibilities is a ceramic insulator joined with metal. Information relating to metal-to-ceramic seals and some constructions for use with Penning pressure sensors and iron-geter pumps are presentedPri procesih in meritvah, ki potekajo v vakuumu je pogosto potreben dovod električne energije v vakuumski prostor. Električne prevodnice, ki tak dovod omogočajo, so lahko zelo različnih izvedb, vedno pa so sestavljene iz izolatorja in prevodnega elementa. Imeti morajo dovolj visoko vakuumsko tesnost ter prebojno in natezno trdnost.
