In recent years, however, women poets have written a number of works that fit this label, demonstrating their great creative power. In this paper, I first discuss the theory and history of the long poem, devoting particular attention to the diversity of long poems in American poetry, and then analyse recent works by Nina Dragičević, Katja Gorečan and Kristina Hočevar by exploring the poetic processes and themes employed. All of the works under consideration belong to modernist and experimental poetry, and they are all characterised by hybridisation of genres and the dissemination of literature with other media. On a thematic level, they are linked by their treatment of various forms of violence in contemporary society</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Med literarnimi zvrstmi, ki so značilne za slovensko poezijo, pesnitve doslej niso bile v ospredju, zlasti pa jih niso pisale ženske. Na tematski ravni jih povezuje obravnava različnih oblik nasilja v sodobni družbi</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-1CSYQ623"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-1CSYQ623" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-1CSYQ623/0dd92add-6298-4f77-aeff-00b8201ec540/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Slavistično društvo Slovenije</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-1CSYQ623/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-1CSYQ623" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
