Initially, they flourished with the support of trade union organisations, but there was no support from the Slovenian library profession, which favoured public people’s libraries, established and financed by local communities. The trade union libraries slowly began to die out; their collections were taken over by the people’s libraries. The last attempt to give workers direct access to books in the work organisation in the form of a Mutual Library was made in Maribor, but it failed to develop into a nationwide concept"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Članek oriše usodo delavskih knjižnic po drugi svetovni vojni.
