It discusses the difference between aesthetics and the philosophy of art and draws attention to the relationship between cognitive aesthetics and post-modern theories. Special attention is paid to three examples of cognitive aesthetics: "1) the relationship between cognitive and analytical aesthetics, 2) specific definitions of cognitive aesthetics and the philosophy of language, semiotics and information theory, and 3) the role of phenomenological philosophy in studies of cognitive aesthetics. In addition, the article formulates a model of general cognitive art and special uses there of, based on the example of mimesis in European historical painting, and the concept of cognitive aesthetics of music combined with an elaboration of the idea of musical expressionRazprava o "kognitivni estetiki" je izpeljana iz sodobnega heterogenega pojma estetike in iz naturalizacije estetike s koncepti kognitivnih znanosti. Ukvarja se z razliko med estetiko in filozofijo umetnosti ter opozarja na odnos med kognitivno estetiko in postmodernimi teorijami. Posebej so obdelani trije primeri kognitivne estetike: 1) odnos med kognitivno in analitično estetiko, 2) specifične opredelitve kognitivne estetike in filozofije jezika, semiotike in informacijske teorije in 3) vloga fenomenološke filozofije v kognitivnoestetskih razpravah.
