It includes a set of different teaching approaches and methods which combine two objectives: focus on language and focus on content. Such ways of second language learning not only increase the student's language skills, but also affect his cognitive development. Given the added value that these approaches provide to the student, from practical use of second language to familiarizing with language diversity through all his schooling, we should find solutions for its implementation in Slovenian school system"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Vsebinsko usmerjeno učenje in poučevanje tujih jezikov, ki se je kot tujejezikovni pristop razširilo v Evropi in postalo v več državah del nacionalnega kurikula, se v Sloveniji uradno še ni uveljavilo oziroma je prisotno samo v obliki pilotnih projektov. Gre za različne didaktične pristope in metode, ki v sebi združujejo dva cilja: osredinjenost na jezik in osredinjost na vsebino. S takšnimi načini učenja tujega jezika se ne povečujejo samo učenčeve jezikovne zmožnosti, ampak se vpliva tudi na njegov kognitivni razvoj.
