The geography lessons with their teaching objectives and contents dealing with the knowledge of ethnic groups are the arouse, in young people, a need to understand the causes for this cultural, civilisational, political and spatial diversity of the world. The article presents results of the quantitative analysis of geographic materials used during the lesson given in Slovene primary and secondary schools.
