Among the two-suffix, three-suffix sequences and the one five-suffix sequence, there is a prevalence of word-formation models that begin with an initial verb, most commonly a verb with the suffix -iti. We describe the types of suffix sets that emerge and the possible order of derivation when the suffix -iti is combined with nominal, adjectival, and verbal suffixes. In the first group (-iti + NOUN), the nominal suffixes -ilec and -itelj are the most open to further suffixal combination, enabling fourth-order derivatives. In the second group (-iti + ADJ), the adjectival suffix -ilen forms third-order derivatives with several nominal and one adverbial suffix. In the third group (-iti + VERB), the derivatives can reach their maximal suffix set length – in other words, the highest (in this case, fifth) level of derivation – if a compound verb acts as an intermediate element"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"V prispevku predstavljamo značilno kombinatoriko priponskih obrazil za prvostopenjske izpridevniške glagolske izpeljanke. V dvo-, tro- in tudi edinem petpriponskem nizu po številu namreč prevladujejo besedotvorni modeli, ki imajo na prvi stopnji izhodiščni glagol, najpogosteje z obra-zilom -iti.Nato opišemo, kakšni priponski nizi nastajajo in katera stopnja tvorbe je mogoča, če se obrazilo -iti druži s samostalniškimi, nato pridevniškimi in nazadnje še glagolskimi obrazili. V prvi skupini -iti + SAM sta najbolj odprti za nadaljnjo priponsko kombinatoriko samostalniški obrazili -ilecin -itelj, ki omogočata četrtostopenjske izpeljanke. V drugi skupini -iti + PRID je tako pridevniško obrazilo -ilen, ki z več samostalniškimi in enim prislovnim tvori tretjestopenjske izpeljanke.
