Today there are more differences. Often the structural detail is hidden, not to spoil the architecture. If structural details are well-designed they don't have to be hidden. In such cases well-designed details can give added value to the building as an architectural entity, after all, common knowledge is that value of an architectural entity is measured by the beauty of its details. The article presents several aspects of designing structural detailsV času razcveta arhitekture grajene v kamnu, kot je antična grška arhitektura, so bili detajli konstrukcije praktično enaki detajlom arhitekture. Danes najdemo več razlik. Pogosto se konstrukcijske detajle zakriva, da ne kvarijo arhitekture. Kadar so konstrukcijski detajli kvalitetno rešeni, tedaj konstrukcijskih detajlov ni potrebno skrivati. V takem primeru kvalitetno izvedeni detajli objektu kot arhitekturni celoti dajo dodatno vrednost, saj je znano, da se vrednost arhitekturne celote meri po lepoti detajlov.
