The Act’s central feature is its comprehensive regulation of administrative judicial review. This reform has abolished the subsidiary application of civil procedure provisions, a practice that caused difficulties in Croatian case law. The discussion begins with a brief historical overview of the development of judicial review of administration in Croatia. This is followed by an analysis of selected procedural institutions that have either been modernised or newly regulated. These institutions are presented in accordance with the structure of the Act, starting with general provisions and moving on to parties and their representation, first-instance proceedings, legal remedies, costs of proceedings, and the enforcement of judicial decisions. The authors critically assess selected institutions from the perspective of the effectiveness of judicial protection as well as the potential transfer of certain solutions into the Slovenian legal system. The challenges faced by the Croatian administrative judiciary are, to a certain extent, comparable to those encountered in administrative judicial review proceedings in Slovenia. In particular, the unsystematic regulation of time limits for adjudication by administrative courts within sectoral legislation. The absence of rules on the classification of cases according to the urgency of judicial intervention means that less urgent cases place a comparable burden on the courts as more complex matters, thereby reducing the effectiveness of judicial protection</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Prispevek obravnava novosti hrvaškega Zakona o upravnih sporih (Zakon o upravnim sporovima), ki je začel veljati 1. 7. 2024 in katerega osrednja lastnost je celovita ureditev upravnega spora. Obravnava relevantnih institutov sledi shematiki hrvaškega Zakona o upravnih sporih: od temeljnih določb, strank in njihovega zastopanja, postopka pred sodiščem prve stopnje, pravnih sredstev do stroškov upravnega spora in izvrševanja sodnih odločb. Odsotnost pravil o razvrščanju zadev glede na stopnjo nujnosti sodne intervencije pomeni, da manj zahtevni primeri sodišča obremenjujejo enako kot zahtevne in nujne zadeve, kar posledično zmanjšuje učinkovitost sodnega varstva</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-814QV8NA"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-814QV8NA" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-814QV8NA/591b2ce6-a589-47bc-af88-3088edfebf84/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-814QV8NA/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-814QV8NA" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
