It is intended for children, young people, youth leaders, educators and others who wish to actively contribute to a fairer, more inclusive and sustainable community.  The first part explains the fundamental concepts of active citizenship, sustainable development, the Sustainable Development Goals and global education, while highlighting the connections between everyday decisions and global challenges. The practical part provides advice, examples of good practices and proposals for local initiatives in the areas of responsible consumption, food and water management, reuse of items, energy conservation, sustainable mobility, nature protection, responsible use of digital technologies and artificial intelligence, solidarity, volunteering, peacebuilding, and intergenerational and peer cooperation. Children and young people participated in developing the content by contributing their ideas, experiences, written reflections and drawings. Namenjena je otrokom, mladim, mladinskim vodnikom, izobraževalcem in drugim, ki želijo dejavno prispevati k bolj pravični, solidarni ter trajnostni skupnosti.  V prvem delu pojasnjuje temeljne pojme aktivnega državljanstva, trajnostnega razvoja, ciljev trajnostnega razvoja in globalnega učenja ter predstavlja povezave med vsakdanjimi odločitvami in globalnimi izzivi. Praktični del prinaša nasvete, primere dobrih praks in predloge lokalnih pobud na področjih odgovorne potrošnje, ravnanja s hrano in vodo, ponovne uporabe predmetov, varčevanja z energijo, trajnostne mobilnosti, varovanja narave, odgovorne uporabe digitalnih tehnologij in umetne inteligence, solidarnosti, prostovoljstva, spodbujanja miru ter medgeneracijskega in medvrstniškega sodelovanja. Pri oblikovanju vsebine so sodelovali otroci in mladi, ki so prispevali svoje predloge, izkušnje, zapise in risbe.
