Working 40 years later, the authors – university lecturers, professors, and lectors – emphasize an important role of these academic programmes in advancing the study of the Slovenian language and culture within their respective national contexts. They highlight the significance of work done in fostering scholarly research and in strengthening intercultural, academic, and societal ties. The results of the past work that include degree studies, diploma degrees, doctoral dissertations, translations of Slovene literary works, joint academic conferences and cultural projects, proceedings, monographs, and other scholarly outputs, attests to the substantial achievements since the 1980s, and the enduring potential to continue with the collaboration in the future"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"V prispevku bodo predstavljene slovenistike, ki delujejo na univerzah v Hrvaški, Bosni in Hercegovini, Srbiji in Severni Makedoniji, skupaj osem, njihov položaj pa bomo primerjali tudi s stanjem v 80. letih, kot ga je v jubilejni številki Jezika in slovstva opisal Ivan Cesar (1985). Avtorji prispevka so učitelji, profesorji in lektorji na slovenistikah, ki v svojih besedilih 40 let kasneje prav tako izpostavljajo pomembno vlogo univerzitetnih slovenistik pri poglabljanju znanja slovenskega jezika in kulture, raziskovanju ter krepitvi medkulturnih, akademskih in družbenih vezi na univerzah in v državah, kjer delajo.
