This attempt is justified by the architectural sincerity, reflecting the client's frequently hidden starting values and making them a sensory-perceptual image of the architectural art. A rich, two-thousand-year-old coexistence of variable efficiency of the Church and its sacred architecture reveals both the distinguishing as well as connecting features, where the former appear to be more prominent. The path of deep self-realisation, which reveals the archetypal matrix of sacred architecture, opposes the path of the Christian sacred architecture adaptation to trendy anaemia, which undermines its identity. This matrix is sketchily presented in the early Christian architectural interpretation in order to show that it remains, besides the artists' creative flexibility, one of the solid foundations of the striving for unity"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Prispevek tematizira vlogo sakralne arhitekture v prizadevanjih Rimskokatoliške Cerkve za edinost kristjanov vsled jasne koncilske opredelitve istovetnosti krščanske umetnosti na eni strani in paradoksalnem pristajanju Cerkve na njeno prisotnost v večreligijskih prostorih na drugi. Smiselnost poskusa utemeljuje arhitekturi lastna iskrenost v odslikavi naročnikovih pogosto prikritih vrednostnih izhodišč, zaradi katere postanejo v arhitekturni umetnini njihovo čutnozaznavno obličje. V bogastvu dvatisočletnega, sicer po učinkovitosti spreminjajočega se sožitja med Cerkvijo in sakralno arhitekturo odkrivamo tako razločevalne kot tudi povezovalne momente, pri čemer se zdijo prvi izrazitejši. Nasproti potí priličenja krščanske sakralne arhitekture trendovski anemičnosti, ki izničuje njeno istovetnost, je postavljena pot globinskega samospoznavanja, na kateri se razkrije arhitekturna arhetipska matrica sakralnega.
