The initial hypothesis is that these topics are completely undesirable, both for teachers, who are increasingly under working pressure, and publishers whose materials do not respond to the needs of students and are increasingly made on a commercial basis. After the analysis of some specific and general factors, we have reached the conclusion that the classic literature within cultural context is also a completely appropriate tool for educational use in the classroomNa podlagi praktičnih izkušenj pri poučevanju španščine kot tujega jezika v slovenski srednji šoli, članek ponuja osebno razmišljanje o težavah in ovirah, s katerimi se sooča tematiziranje španske književnosti in drugih kulturnih vidikov španskega govorečega sveta. Začetna hipoteza je, da so te teme danes popolnoma nezaželene, tako za učitelje, ki so vedno bolj pod sistemskim pritiskom, kot za založbe, katerih materiali vse manj ustrezajo potrebam študentov in se uklanjajo zahtevam trga.
