Therefore in the first part I discuss Vico's theory of language in his 'Principi di scienza nuova', and then argue for Heidegger's theory of translating which confronts us with the fact of the untranslatability of basic philosophical words. In the second part I propose a short phenomenology of translating some - eight - fundamental notions of Aristotle's Metaphysics into Slovene, namely: category, being, beings, substance, to hypokeímenon - underlying thing, idéa/eîdos - idea/species, choristón - separable, to tí en eînai - essence, lógos - definition, ratio, symbebekós - the accidental. Translating of classical philosophical texts is always a research of the linguistic capacities of our own language"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Prevajanje klasičnih del grške filozofije v moderne jezike je v marsičem neprimerljivo s prevajanjem del, ki so napisana v modernih evropskih jezikih. Zato v prvem delu najprej obravnavam Vicovo teorijo jezika v 'Principih nove znanosti', nato pa Heideggrovo teorijo prevajanja, ki se sooča z dejstvom neprevedljivosti temeljnih filozofskih besed. V drugem delu podajam kratko fenomenologijo prevajanja nekaterih - osmih - temeljnih besed Aristotelove Metafizike, in sicer: kategorija, bit in bivajoče, to hypokeímenon - subjekt, idéa/eîdos - pralik/oblika, choristón - bivajoče po sebi, to tí en eînai - bistvenost, lógos in akcidenca - symbebekós.
