The manuscripts comprise a diary of the military campaign, entitled Tarih-i Sefer-i Zafer-i Alaman. The text provides a concise overview of the daily activities undertaken by the Ottoman army. The second manuscript is the so-called ‘Chronicle of Celalzadi’, ‘Tarih-i Sefer-i Zafer-Rehber-i Alaman’ (History of the German Expedition), which provides a more detailed account of this Turkish campaign in epic form.
