G. Sebald and Florian Illies. The focus is on two major concepts that in Sternheim's works are set in the context of his critique of the bourgeois ideology. Those concepts are social criticism and individuality. The analysis of the literary reception shows the numerous changes in the understanding of these concepts that came about due to the changing ideologies during the hundred years since the plays had been written. The rereading of Sternheim's plays shows that the inherent contradictions still remain unresolved"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Der vorliegende Beitrag, der von diskursanalytischen und rezeptionsästhetischen Ansätzen ausgeht, widmet sich dem Konzept der Individualität in Carl Sternheims Komödien, die unter dem Titel Aus dem bürgerlichen Heldenleben zusammengefasst werden, unter besonderer Beachtung der Rezeption bei den Schriftstellern W. G. Sebald und Florian Illies. Im Mittelpunkt stehen vor allem der Umgang mit Gesellschaftskritik und das Individualitätskonzept, die bei Sternheim im Kontext seiner Kritik an der bürgerlichen Ideologie stehen. Die Rezeption von Sternheims Komö- dien zeigt, wie sich das Verständnis dieser Begriffe im Laufe der vergangenen hundert Jahre unter dem Einfluss verschiedener Ideologien verändert hat, wobei die den Begriffen innewohnenden Widersprüche nicht gelöst wurden, sondern, so die These, zu ihrer Radikalisierung führten, die durch eine neue Lektüre der Stücke deutlich wird"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Prispevek, ki se opira na recepcijsko estetiko in na diskurzno analizo, se posveča konceptu individualnosti v komedijah Carla Sternheima, ki jih literarna veda združuje v cikel z naslovom Iz junaškega življenja meščanov, s posebnim poudarkom na njihovi recepciji v delih pisateljev W. G. Sebalda in Floriana Illiesa. V središču raziskave sta predvsem dva vidika, in sicer obravnava družbene kritike in koncept individualnosti, ki sta pri Sternheimu umeščena v kontekst kritike meščanske ideologije. Analiza recepcije pokaže, kako se je v preteklih sto letih pod vplivom različnih ideologij spreminjalo razumevanje teh dveh pojmov.
