Despite a vehement liberalisation of the system of value (occurred in our times) and the fact that modern children's literature has essentially expanded the horizon its artistic interests, the very literature is still limited by surprisingly numerous taboos. The biggest of all is death. Today's dying is sterilised and masked as much as possible even in the world of adults. - Traditional understanding of tragic is based on the supposition that the inevitable condition of tragic lies in the hero's awareness of his/her own ruin. Within the context of metaphysic aesthetic a child's death can only be something sad.
