Thus (and for this reason) healso treats education as a symbolic act. He calls this position 'dramatistic' because it begins with an emphasis on 'the act', and against it places idealistic terminologies that begin with the treatment of perception, knowledge and learning. In contrast to such epistemological approaches, the author's approach is ontological and places the substantiality of the act at the centre. The 'dramatistic' approach thus conceived is literal not figurative, and treats education as a rhetorical act/activity</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Avtorjevo izhodišče je definicija človeka kot živali, za katero je značilno, da uporablja jezik oz. simbole. Tako (in zato) tudi izobraževanje obravnava kot simbolno dejanje. Takšno stališče imenuje "dramatistično", saj se prične spoudarkom na "dejanju", nasproti pa mu postavlja idealistične terminologije, ki se začnejo z obravnavo percepcije, znanja in učenja. V nasprotju s takšnimi epistemološkimi pristopi velja avtorjev pristop za ontološkega in v središče postavlja substancialnost dejanja.
