Keratoconus is the most common dystrophy of the cornea, affecting around one person in two thousands. Conclusions: Cornealcollagen crosslinking is a relatively new treatment in which collagen fibres are chemically bonded, using UVA and riboflavin, to increase corneal tensile strength and decrease the progression of keratoconus. It may become animportant treatment modality, but as with all new therapies, unanswered questions remain.
