Seitz or Seiz) played a central role in the history of the Carthusian Order during the turbulent period of the Great Schism, which might have also influenced its musical life. A comparison of the texts, melodies, and note groupings in two Žiče antiphonals from the 13th and 15th centuries can offer at least a vague picture of melodic tradition of the Žiče antiphonals till the end of the fifteenth century. This tradition was probably also connected to the unification of the Carthusian Order after the SchismKartuzija Žiče je v času velikega zahodnega razkola postala sedež kartuzijanskega reda za vse Rimu zveste kartuzije. To viharno obdobje je morda vplivalo tudi na glasbeno življenje samostana. Razprava skuša s primerjavo besedil, melodij in notnih skupin iz dveh žičkih antifonalov (iz 13. in 15. stoletja) vsaj okvirno prikazati spremembe v melodični tradiciji žičkih antifonalov do konca 15. stoletja.
