Scenarios are usually defined trough a process that combines a differing share of intuition and scientific knowledge. The preference of scenarios based on scientific knowledge and defined methods over intuitively prepared scenarios are the evident course of events and the time line and not just the initial and final situation. The article introduces Markov chain method and its use for scenario building. It compares the applicability and reliability of the results of the Markov chain method with a more simple method of linear extrapolation and will shortly present the findings regarding Markov's chain method use for the presentation of future spatial changes and processes</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Scenariji so orodje, ki se vse pogosteje uporablja na področju krajinskega in prostorskega načrtovanja, saj omogoča jasno predstavitev mogočega ali želenega prihodnjega stanja na določenem območju. V članku podrobneje predstavljamo metodo markovskih verig in njeno uporabo za zasnovo scenarija, primerjamo uporabnost metode in njene rezultate z enostavnejšo metodo linearne ekstrapolacije ter na kratko predstavljamo ugotovitve iz izbranih primerov uporabe markovskih verig za prikaz prihodnjih prostorskih sprememb oziroma procesov</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-KTQM6OK3"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-KTQM6OK3" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-KTQM6OK3/2ab23632-e259-4701-b013-c80073ff7486/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Urbanistični inštitut Republike Slovenije</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-KTQM6OK3/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-KTQM6OK3" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
