The model was tested in two forest management units (Jezersko and Tržič) for two natural hazards % rockfall and avalanches. We determined areas with direct protection function on the basis of: 1) modelling risk areas of rockfall and avalanches, 2) data on buildings, settlements and infrastructure, and 3) area of forest. Numerous data were processed with different software, but mainly with MapInfo 10.5, ArcGIS 10.0 and Conefall - 3D friction model. We delineated direct protection function on the area of 625 ha, mainly due to protection against rockfall (44 %), avalanches (27 %), while 29 % of the area was determined due to rockfall and avalanches together. The degree of risk in the areas with direct protection function is mainly high (65 %). Our results showed that official data on areas with direct protection function were underestimated"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Izdelali smo model določanja območij s poudarjeno zaščitno funkcijo glede na vrste naravnih nevarnosti in škodni potencial in ga na območju gozdnogospodarskih enot Tržič in Jezersko preverili za dve vrsti naravnih nevarnosti - padajoče kamenje in skale (v nadaljnjem besedilu padajoče kamenje) ter snežne plazove. Območja s poudarjeno zaščitno funkcijo smo določili na podlagi: 1) modeliranja območij ogroženosti, ki zajemajo območja sproščanja in premeščanja padajočega kamenja ter snežnih plazov, 2) podatkov o stavbah, naseljih in infrastrukturi in 3) maski gozdne površine. Zbirke prostorskih podatkov smo analizirali s programi MapInfo 10.5, ArcGIS 10.0 in 3D modelom trenja Conefall. Z modeliranjem smo določili območje s poudarjeno zaščitno funkcijo na površini 625 ha, od tega je večji del določen zaradi nevarnosti padajočega kamenja (44 %), nekoliko manjši pa zaradi snežnih plazov (27 %), 29 % te površine pa ogrožajo padajoče kamenje in snežni plazovi. Na pretežni površini gozdov s poudarjeno zaščitno funkcijo (65 %) je stopnja ogroženosti velika.
