Na podlagi litoloških značilnosti so bile razvrščene v pet litotipov, ti pa nato povezani v litostratigrafski stolpec. Čeprav je bila sedimentacija neposredno povezana s sinsedimentarno tektoniko, se je dalo kljub temu izločiti globalne evstatične sekvence.
