Članek z analizo Shaverjeve teorije moralne vzgoje pokaže, kako opozicija med reprodukcijo vrednot in svobodno izbiro vrednot ne zadošča ne za razumevanje razvoja moralne vzgoje ne za konceptualizacijo sodobnega odnosa med družbeno reprodukcijo in svobodo posameznika. Zaradi dostojanstva posameznika vrednot ni mogoče preprosto vsiljevati.
