Th e volume was published by the University of Primorska on the occasion of the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue (2008), and the beginning of the presidency of the Republic of Slovenia to the Council of the European Union. The author analyses the defi nitions of tolerance and intercultural communication found in the above-mentioned volume, and shows that they are pre-theoretic, un-conceptual, stereotyped, generalized, and thus essentially ideological.
