This means that not every text is equally suitable for addressing any linguistic theme or learning goal of language classes. Based on this starting point for language classes, the paper presents the concept of the themes Communication, Text and Genres and their groups of goals in the Slovenian curricula in primary school from the second educational period onwards and in the high school curriculum. The theoretical background is added as a clarification, which is the basis for a slightly modified communicative-pragmatic, semantic and structural-grammatical view of working with text. The paper also provides examples of proposed work with texts and genres</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Izhodiščna teza prispevka je, da je kakovostno izbrano besedilo hkrati primerno za obravnavo kontekstnih in besedilnih oziroma diskurznih tem ali učnih ciljev ter tudi za obravnavo določenih tem oziroma učnih ciljev s področja jezikovnega sistema in slovarja (oblikoslovne, skladenjske in leksikalne teme), toda le, če so te jezikovnosistemske teme hkrati značilne prvine izbranega izhodiščnega besedila. To pomeni, da ni vsako besedilo enako ustrezno za obravnavo katerekoli jezikovnosistemske teme ali učnega cilja jezikovnega pouka. Na osnovi tega izhodišča za delo pri jezikovnem pouku prispevek predstavlja zasnovo tem Sporazumevanje, Besedilo in Besedilne vrste ter njihove skupine ciljev v učnih načrtih za slovenščino v osnovni šoli od drugega vzgojno-izobraževalnega obdobja dalje ter na gimnazijskem programu. Kot pojasnilo so dodana teoretična ozadja, ki so osnova za nekoliko spremenjen komunikacijsko-pragmatični, semantični in strukturno-slovnični pogled na delo z besedilom.
