The main objective of this article is to theoretically present the governance of Natura 2000 in line with the sustainable development concept. The research background encompasses the legislation and institutions as the basis for the good governance of Natura 2000. The literature review outlines the views of several scholars and recommendations to improve the governance of Natura 2000 according to the concept of sustainable development.
