Nowadays, surgery is applied only in treatment of (recurrent) radio-and chemoresistant disease. At present, anal function-conserving radiation therapy (45-60 Gy) and concomitant chemotherapy with 5-FU and MMC are considered to be standard therapy methods applied in locally advanced tumours, whether No or N+. In small tumours (TINO), chemotherapy can be omitted without jeopardizing the outcome. In future, the role of induction chemotherapy will have to be evaluated in order to see whether some other drug would contribute better to the improvement of the already favourable results</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-TPD0POM2"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-TPD0POM2" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-TPD0POM2/968937e1-08f2-44d7-b2e7-71b81cfb341b/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Onkološki inštitut Ljubljana</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-TPD0POM2/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-TPD0POM2" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
