In this article some approaches how to treat a stadium of resistant depression are described. There is aslo a description of the successful use of inhibitors acetylholinesterase donepezil hydrochloride (Aricept) in treatment of this kind of depression. Taking into account a greatnumber of depressive patients who are resistant to usual antidepressivs these new approaches to treatment are of a great importance due to the fact that in many cases previous treatments of a depressive patients proved to be unsuccessful. This article is considered to be one of the first description inrespect of the use of inhibitors of acetylcholinesterase in treatment of resistant depressions. Conclusions. In case of resistant depressions one of the possibilities of its treatment is the use of inhibitors of acetylcholinesterase (and may be others) in combination with antidepressantsIzhodišča. V pričujočem članku so opisane možnosti zdravljenja rezistentnih depresij in primer uspešne uporabe inhibitorja acetilholinesteraze donepezil hidroklorida (Aricept) v njihovi uporabi. Glede na veliko število depresivnih bolnikov, rezistentnih na antidepresive, so novi pristopi za zdravljenje omenjene oblike bolezni velikega pomena, saj je kljub številnim možnostim veliko število bolnikov neuspešno zdravljenih. To je eden od prvih opisov uporabe inhibitorjev acetilholinesteraze v zdravljenju rezistentnih depresij. Zaključki.
