We analysed the feasibility of various technological solutions for operations on steep slopes. The selection and evaluation of technological solutions followed the German study by Findeisen (2008). Based on a comparison of available technological models, we initially selected five models out of nineteen: (1) a harvester and an articulated forwarder, (2) a crawler harvester and a forwarder equipped with a traction winch, (3) a model combining a chainsaw, a crawler harvester, and a forwarder with a traction winch, (4) a model combining a cable yarder and a chainsaw, and (5) a specialised skidder with a processor head. A sixth model (chainsaw, harvester with traction winch, and a forwarder with traction winch) was added because it had previously been applied on the selected work site. The selected models were evaluated according to three criteria—ergonomic, environmental, and economic—based on the actual conditions of the work site. For the chosen models, we calculated labour costs, accounting for cost adjustments derived from the characteristics of the terrain. In the second phase of the study, model 6 proved to be the most suitable, as it enables the felling of large diameter trees on steep slopes and thus allows work to be carried out across the entire site. Although the comparison of technological solutions and the subsequent optimization of the model selection is preliminary, we consider it a useful tool for the planned and effective introduction of modern technologies into Slovenian forestry</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Zaradi potrebe po vse večji humanizaciji dela in vsesplošnem pomanjkanju delavcev, se povečuje delež strojne sečnje in spravila lesa tudi na strmih terenih. Medsebojna primerjava različnih tehnoloških rešitev in posledično izbor najbolj primernega tehnološkega modela v danih razmerah je sicer pilotna, a jo ocenjujemo kot koristno pomoč pri načrtnem in uspešnem uvajanju sodobnih tehnologij v slovensko gozdarstvo</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-UI36DNCP"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-UI36DNCP" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-UI36DNCP/aa955ff9-b52a-4091-bc0d-c1e3888502c0/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Gozdarski inštitut Slovenije</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-UI36DNCP/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-UI36DNCP" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
