Within this ecosystem, hydrological and morphological dynamics have an important role in maintaining biodiversity. The study aimed to analyze the vegetation, hydrological factors, and morphological dynamics of seven islands in the Danube Delta. The study was carried out during 2023–2024 at Isaccea (three islands), Dunavă? (three islands) and Dranov (one island) in all four seasons. Phytocoenological relevés were carried out for the vegetation analysis, and the SonTek RiverSurveyor M9 equipment was used for the hydrological analysis. The analysis of island dynamics was carried out through morphometric methods, using ANCPI orthophotos (2004 and 2021) and Landsat satellite images (2010). In the seven islands, six associations from the Artemisietea vulgaris, Lemnetea, Phragmito-Magnocaricetea, and Salicetea purpureae classes were found. The hydrological analysis indicated seasonal fluctuations in water level, flow, and velocity, with significant increases in the autumn and winter, especially at Isaccea. The hydrological regime has an important role in the morphodynamic modelling of the Danube Delta islands, indicating the river’s ability to induce rapid transformations through sedimentation and erosion processes. The island’s location influences this interaction, the river flow dynamics and human interventions such as the rectification of meanders</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Delta Donave je edinstven ekosistem v jugovzhodni Romuniji. Za ohranjanje biodiverzitete tega ekosistema sta pomembni hidrološka in morfološka dinamika. V raziskavi smo analizirali vegetacijo, hidrološke dejavnike in morfološko dinamiko sedmih otokov v letih 2023 in 2024 v območjih Isaccea (trije otoki), Dunavă? (trije otoki) in Dranov (en otok) v vseh štirih letnih časih. Za analizo vegetacije smo naredili fitocenološke popise, opremo SonTek RiverSurveyor M9 pa smo uporabili za hidrološke analize. Analizo dinamike otokov smo naredili z morfometrijsko metodo z uporabo ANCPI ortofoto posnetki (2004 in 2021) in Landsat satelitskimi posnetki (2010). Na to interakcijo vpliva lokacija otoka, dinamika rečnega toka in človekove dejavnosti, kot je uravnavanje meandrov</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-V4UPJ3IE"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-V4UPJ3IE" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-V4UPJ3IE/6d866e6b-da6a-4c67-a978-88d1f07aa7ce/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">ZRC SAZU</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-V4UPJ3IE/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-V4UPJ3IE" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
