This is even more unusual given that the poet's texts are not placed in close connection with music only by the external form of the poems but also by their typical inner structure, related to the emptying of apparently simple folk models. Central to the article is a comparison of the two key cycles of lieder that set Makarovič's poetry to music - Pesmi iz mlina by Marijan Lipovšek and Vojskin čas by Pavle Merku. The procedures employed by the two composers in the setting of similar poetry differ considerably: Merku attempts to approach poetic palimpsest juxtaposition, while, in contrast, Lipovšek remains true to musical homogenisation. It emerges that it is possible to link the difference with diverging musical and literary paradigms, which have a rather complex mutual relationship</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Kljub latentni muzikalnosti, ki naj bi jo, sodeč po odkritjih literarnih znanstvenikov, izkazovala poezija Svetlane Makarovič, pesničina besedila niti niso izjemno navdihovala slovenskih skladateljev. To je še toliko bolj nenavadno, ker pesničinih besedil v ozko zvezo z glasbo ne postavlja zgolj zunanja forma njenih pesmi, temveč tudi tipična notranja strukturiranost, povezana z izvotljevanjem na videz preprostih ljudskih vzorcev. V članku je v središču primerjava med osrednjima ciklusoma samospevov, ki uglasbujeta poezijo Makarovičeve - med Pesmimi iz mlina Marijana Lipovška in ciklusom Vojskin čas Pavleta Merkuja. Postopek obeh skladateljev je ob zelo podobni poeziji precej različen: Merku se skuša približati pesničinemu palimpsestnemu sopostavljanju, Lipovšek pa nasprotno ostaja zavezan glasbenemu homogeniziranju.
