During the past years some progress has been made in treatment of cutaneous melanoma. Recent studies mostly involve the use of interferon-alfa. Promising results have beenreported in high risk patients with high dose IFN-alfa, though a standard regimen has been established yet. The results of ongoing studies are presentedand discussed and some new possible approaches with vaccines are mentioned"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Zaradi naraščajoče incidence malignega melanoma potekajo številne raziskave o pomenu dodatnega zdravljenja po odstranitvi primarnega tumorja, ker je zdravljenje napredovale bolezni žal še vedno neučinkovito. Največ raziskav v zadnjih letih je na področju uporabe interferona-alfa. Rezultati nekaterih raziskav skupin bolnikov z visokim tveganjem so ohrabrujoči. Čeprav poteka veliko randomiziranih multicentričih raziskav standardni odmerek in optimalna shema zdravljenja še nista ugotovljeni.
