University Eye Clinic in Ljubljana began to perform a photodynamictherapy (PDT) in July 2002. Up to September 2003 there were 51 PDTinterventions on 36 eyes. Almost half of the eyes had one or more reinterventions. PDT was used on 29 eyes with age related macular degeneration(AMD). Just before the treatment all of them had visual acuity (VA) 6/60 or better and there were predominantly classical or classical choroidal neovascular (CNV) membranes. Most VA did not changed significantly in follow-up visits but diameter of CNV membranes was obviously reduced. In macular degeneration due to pathologic myopia (MMD), photodynamic therapy was performed on 7 eyes with mainly occult CNV and VA was 12/60 or better VA was mostly better in follow-up visits than before treatment with PDT. Conclusions.There were no serious complications during and after PDT interventions. Two patients had back pain during the infusion of Verteporfin but there was no need to stop the intervention"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Izhodišča. Na Očesni kliniki v Ljubljani smo začeli s fotodinamičnim zdravljenjem (PDT) julija 2002. Do septembra 2003 smo napravili 51 posegov na 36 očeh. Pri skoraj polovici oči smo poseg ponovili enkrat ali večkrat Od teh je bilo 29 posegov narejenih na očeh s starostno degeneracijo makule (SDM). Pred zdravljenjem je bila vidna ostrina (VO) 0,1 ali več. Horoidne neovaskularne (CNV) membrane so bile prevladujoče klasične ali v celoti klasične. Pri kontrolnih pregledih se VO pri večini oči ni bistveno spremenila, medtem ko je bil premer CNV membran očitno manjši. Pri degeneraciji makule, povzročene zaradi patološke miopije, je bila PDT narejenana 7 očeh z večinoma okultno CNV membrano in VO 0,2 ali več. Pri kontrolnih pregledih je bila VO večinoma boljša kot pred PDT. Zaključki. Nismoimeli resnih zapletov med in po posegu s PDT.
