The data show that the integration of Slovenian enterprises into GVCs is gradually increasing. In the future, the effectiveness of Slovenian integration into international trade will increasingly depend on the intensity and quality of integration into GVCs. In doing so, it is extremely important that enterprises use their integration into GVCs for their own growth and development, to assure the best possible, stable position in GVCs and upgrading of that position. We analyse the position of Slovenian enterprises in GVCs and related trends by means of a supply chain matrix (Boc and Lanz, 2013). The matrix shows the following characteristics of Slovenian enterprises integration into GVCs: (i) the ICT industry has regressed in all dimensions of integration into GVCs, (ii) in recent years, manufacturing of final products in high-tech industries has gained modest comparative advantages without a clear pattern of integration into GVCs, (iii) medium high-tech industries are increasing their integration into final and intermediate phases of GVCs, (iv) medium low-tech industries are increasing their integration into intermediate phases of GVCs, (v) low-tech industries have lost their comparative advantages in the final phases and somehow retain their position in intermediate phases of GVCs"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Delovanje svetovnega gospodarstva in mednarodno trgovino vse bolj zaznamujejo globalne verige vrednosti (GVV), v okviru katerih se v fragmentiranih in mednarodno razpršenih proizvodnih procesih trguje z vmesnimi proizvodi in storitvami. Podatki kažejo, da se vključevanje slovenskih podjetij v GVV postopoma povečuje. V prihodnje bo uspešnost slovenskega vključevanja v mednarodno menjavo vedno bolj odvisna od intenzivnosti in kakovosti vključevanja v GVV. Pri tem pa je zelo pomembno, da podjetja vključevanje v GVV izkoristijo za lastno rast in razvoj, da si zagotovijo čim boljši/stabilnejši položaj v globalnih verigah vrednosti (GVV) in napredovanje v GVV. Položaj slovenskih podjetij v GVV in trende na tem področju analiziramo s pomočjo matrike dobaviteljskih verig (Boc in Lanz, 2013).
