National guidelines, which are more frequently revised, take into account the possibilities of each country to adopt new and more effective methods for management of these conditions. Among the most recently published guidelines dealing with essential thrombocythaemia in the European Union are guidelines of the Czech Haematological Society for diagnosis and treatment of chronic myeloproliferative disorders with thrombocythaemia.
