Adam Friderik Reichardt's printing house in Ljubljana

Adam Friderik Reichard (1701 or 1709-1757) became the owner of the Ljubljana Mayr printing house around 1731. After his death and until the printing house was sold to Janez Jurij Heptner, his widow Ana ran the printing company.

Reichard printed texts in the Slovenian, Latin, German and Italian language. One of the most important works printed in his printing house is Steinberg's description of Lake Cerknica, or 'Gründliche Nachricht von dem and dem Inner-Crain gelegenen Czirknitzer-See' from the year 1758.

In this collection, we present to you a selection of Reichard’s prints kept in the National and University Library that were in a condition suitable for the digitising process.
