FROM THE PRESIDENT OF THE SLOVENIAN ACADEMY OF MANAGEMENT Prof. Dr. Metka Tekav či č University of Ljubljana School of Economics and Business Dynamic Rela ti onships Management Journal, Vol. 14, No. 1, May 2025 1 Dear readers, It is a great honor and responsibility to take over the presidency of the Slovenian Academy of Manage ‐ ment (SAM), an associa ti on with a clear vision: to con ‐ nect, support, and advance scholarship and prac ti ce in the field of management. I sincerely thank the pre ‐ vious President, Assist. Prof. Dr. Jože Kropivšek, and his team for their commi tt ed leadership and many valuable contribu ti ons, including strengthening com ‐ munica ti on pla tf orms, sustaining publishing ac ti vi ti es, and fostering academic dialogue through events and debate evenings. We build upon solid founda ti ons, and I look forward to con ti nuing this important work in close collabora ti on with my colleagues. In 2025, the Academy will further deepen its mission through a set of well ‐focused ac ti vi ti es. Two debate evenings (led by Assoc. Prof. Dr . Nina Tomaže ‐ vi č) will address ti mely topics in management and organiza ti on. The Terminology Sec ti on, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr . Dubravka Celinšek, will con ti nue its work on the SAM glossary, in ac ti ve dialogue with linguists, editors, and other professionals. The sec ti on brings together a group of commi tt ed scholars from across Slovenia, who will examine and translate terms rel ‐ evant to their fields and share them with the aca ‐ demic and professional community. Recognizing that membership is the corner ‐ stone of our Academy’s sustainability and growth, we aim to significantly expand our member base in 2025. A special emphasis will be placed on engaging master’s and doctoral students as well as recent graduates—bringing fresh energy and perspec ti ves into our work. Promo ti onal e fforts will be supported by updated materials and strengthened collabora ‐ ti on with university career centers. At the same ti me, we will increase our presence on social media and highlight the added value of membership across professional channels. Financial stability remains a key priority. We are grateful for con ti nued ARIS co ‐funding for both of our journals, and for the dedicated work of our Trea ‐ surer, Rebeka Koncilja Žgalin. In terms of public vis ‐ ibility, we will enhance promo ti onal ac ti vi ti es and explore new opportuni ti es for donor support. In 2025, Dynamic Rela ti onships Management Journal (DRMJ), led by Editor ‐in ‐Chief Prof. Dr . Matej Černe, will con ti nue its trajectory of development. We will ac ti vely promote the journal through per ‐ sonal networks and interna ti onal conferences, in ‐ cluding EAWOP , Odyssey, and AOM in Copenhagen. A transi ti on to an online submission system (in col ‐ labora ti on with the University of Ljubljana Press) is under considera ti on. We remain op ti mis ti c about in ‐ clusion in the Emerging Sources Cita ti on Index and AJG rankings, which would significantly raise DRMJ’s visibility and impact. Our journal published in Slovene language, Man ‐ agement Challenges (Editor ‐in ‐Chief is Prof. Dr . Zlatko Nedelko) will con ti nue to pursue its mission of ad ‐ dressing key management and organiza ti onal chal ‐ lenges in Slovenia. We aim to enrich the journal by encouraging submissions from both postgraduate students and practiti oners, thus enhancing the rele ‐ vance and quality of contribu ti ons. To ensure the journal’s con ti nued growth, we also plan to review the editorial board and increase e fforts to a tt ract a broader pool of authors beyond our current network. We also plan to further strengthen our collab ‐ ora ti on with the Academy of Management (AOM) in 2025. Building on exis ti ng connec ti ons, we aim to co ‐host events and explore opportuni ti es for joint publishing or regional ini ti a ti ves, par ti cularly in the Western Balkans. These e fforts not only enhance our interna ti onal visibility but also posi ti on the Slovenian Academy of Management as a valuable partner in global academic networks.
