Štefanu smo poslušali njegove melodije medtem, ko so pevci odšli k obhajilni mizi in je on sam z orglami in električnimi zvonci igral Bogu v čast in nam v vzpodbudo. | Marsikaj slovenskih in tudi drugih otrok iz te okolice je poučeval klavir. Nekaj njegovih učencev je doseglo visoko stopnjo klavirske umetnosti, drugi pa igrajo po svojih močeh, sebi in staršem v veselje. Vsa ta leta je tudi pomagal s klavirjem pri slovenskih predstavah v ameriški javnosti: mu-!zeju in drugod. Dolga leta je delal za našo skupnost kot predsednik Ligine podružnice v Chicagu. Ko je to delo predal mlajšim, je še vedno pomagal in bil častni predsednik do konca. | Bil je visoko izobražen mož, 'a to ga ni prevzelo. Vsa dela je opravljal z doslednostjo in natančnostjo, kot mu je to narekovala njegova izobrazba, a s po-hižnostjo in v božjo. čast. I Do zadnjega trenutka je delal. Our dear loved one was born on January 2, 1907 in Cleveland, Ohio. For many years she was employed as a seamstress at Richman Bros. Co., and also cooked at many Slovenian weddings and other events. During her retirement years, she was employed by the A. M. McGregor Nursing Home in East Cleveland, Ohio, and at St. John’s Cathedral Cafeteria. Almost up to the time of her hospitalization at Sf. Vincent Charity Hospital and the Western Reserve Extended Care Facility, Kirtiand, Ohio, she had still been active as a cook for a retired elderly couple in Eucli^, Ohio. Our beloved departed was a member of the following fraternal societies: Slovenian Women’s Union, Branch No. 25; “Slovenske Sokolice” Lodge No. 442, S.N.P.J., and American Mutual Life Ass’n., Ajcdge Danica”, Noj 11. She was also a member of St. Mary’s Altar and Rosary Society. Services were held on February 25, 1978 from the Grdina Lakeshore Funeral Home, with a concelebrated Mass of the Resurrection at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Holmes Ave. Pastor Rev. Victor home was the main celebrant, concele-brating with Rev. Raymond Hobart. Our heartfelt acknowledgement is extended to these priests. We are especially indebted to Rev. Victor Tome for leading the rosary at the Funeral Home, his beautiful homily during the Mass, and for his prayers at the cemetery. We are deeply grateful to the members of her lodges, and especially to St. Sadly missed Ly Mary’s Altar and Rosary Society, who in such large numbers recited the rosary, and in their touching words, paid final homage to our loved one. May God bless everyone for their beautiful floral pieces, Mass offerings, donations to the Slovenian Home for the Aged, and other charitable contributions in her memory. From the depth of our hearts, we thank the many people who attended the wake, the church services, and to those who accompanied our beloved to her final resting place at All Souls Cemetery, Char-don, Ohio. Deep appreciation is extended to Mr. Ivan Rigler, the organist, and Mrs. Tillie Špehar, for their beautiful singing during the service. Special thanks to the pallbearers: Messers. He came to the United States in 1950 when he settled in Chicago and became church organist and director of the choir at St. Steven’s Slovenian church till he present. He also taught music at Mt. Assisi Academy in Lemont, v/here he also was seen participating in community singing at all major Slovenian pilgrimages. This past Labor Day v/eek-end he was organist for the outdoor Masses at the Bishop Baraga Celebration in Lemont. He is survived by his wife, Metoda, sons dr. Peter, dr.
